The Original Homesteading Book!
When I first started researching homesteading ideas for another book, The Last Stars in the Sky, I came across this tattered tome wedged into the bookcase by the fireplace in our family’s cottage. I don’t think anyone had touched it for at least twenty years, but it turned out to be a veritable goldmine of information. If you want to know how to butcher a cow, plant a garden, grind your own wheat or weave your own cloth… it’s all packed in this one book!
